CUTE! Doesn't he look dead though? A large group of black guys watched as I took pictures of this dog... Here's how the conversation went with them (there were several different guys talking, but I'm gonna be a racist pig and label them all as a generic "Black guy"... it's easier that way):

Black guy: Is she takin' a picture of the dog or the baby? (at least, this is what I think he said)
Me: Baby? There's a baby?!
Black guy: The dog, she's taking a picture of the dog.
Me: Oh, haha, yeaah. It's a cute dog!
Black guy: So where are you from? (he sees that I have a super-touristy camera)
Me: Oh, I'm from the city.
Black guy: Oh, you're a local!
Me: Haha, yeah, I guess so. (thinking in my head: actually, not really at ALL!)
Black guy: So what high school you from?
Me: Uh, I'm actually in law school... (wtf? High school?! Do I look that young?)
Black guy: Ooh! Around here? What, Hastings...?
Me: Yea, I go to Hastings.
Black guy: Very nice. I used to study legal medicine. Now I just study medicine (my thoughts: what the heck is legal medicine?)
Me: Haha, I see... (awkward pause...) Have a nice day!
Aaand... I run back to Jon, who was lounging on the next bench over from the dog. Ha. Slacker.
