Thanksgiving... installment 3
A better title might be...
The WEST (coast) SIDE is filled with ALCOHOLICS~!
This is MY kind of family get together...
Props to Tom-- the French Martini came out excellent. Here's Aunt Judy with hers.
Tom and Cindy, making the martinis.
I guess Cindy took over her own. Unfortunately, she bought the dark vermouth instead of the light one, so her drink came out... darker than usual.
Pouring out Cindy's drink.
Cindy's was so pretty! Although I have to admit that I prefer the French Martini.
Recipe for the French Martini:
1 oz Chambord Raspberry Liquor
1 oz Belvedere vodka
1 oz pineapple juice
Aand.... Luna, wishing she could get drunk with us.
What did we do while sipping our martinis? PLAY SCRABBLE!
I .... lost. To Tom. SO SAD... T___T

Thanksgiving... installment 2
Now THERE's a turkey! :D
I love how the setting allows EVERYONE to sit together. Not like at Uncle John's where I am still stuck at the "childrens' table"... I'm not a baby! I'm legal, dangit!
Aunt Judy's backyard.
Aunt Judy continuing to slave away.
The FEAST begins!!
Haha. I need to work on cleaning up the blurriness...
OOoh... time to...
CARVE THE TURKEY!!!
I think he meets his mother-in-law and brother-in-law's approval... I think.
Aunt Su and Aunt Judy!
Delicious! Note the wine bottles and wine glasses? These West Coast relatives of ours LOVE to drink! *AHEM* We should take a cue from them... *AHEM*
William and Sophia really look alike, to me.
William LOVES to play the piano. He downloads music off the internet and puts them in this binder to play. So he was our musical entertainment while we were eating.
Christina (Abe's wife) and her mother.
Aaand.... that's a wrap. For now.

Thanksgiving... installment 1 of... many...
Aunt Judy, Abe, Christina
爸--- when's the last time you saw your sister, mm?
Plus, she says you guys have never seen her house. So here is her beautiful kitchen. This is when she was starting her marathon of cooking ten bazillion dishes for our Thanksgiving feast. Do you see the turkey? Beautiful!

Fun with friends!
Sorry for not having posted the past few days. I was a hermit. It was sad.
Here are pictures from the past couple weeks...
First, the Koreans got drunk. And then, we went Karaoke! (Stacey, Jason, Mengmeng, Gina, and me)
Then, one day, I went to "study" with Mengmeng and Gina. They were supposed to take one shot of yogurt soju for every page (or two) that they finished. I showed up at 11pm. We talked until 2am. Number of pages read: ZERO. Number of shots finished: 2-3 (I had a cup... haha). Sooo sad!
In the spirit of Halloween, I decided to make a Pumpkin Spice Cake. Store-bought icing, I'm afraid.
Jason, Adrian, Stacey, Mengmeng, Me, and Gina, at Mengmeng's SamKeupSal party (it's basically grilled pork wrapped in lettuce. Delicious!)
Gina, Mengmeng, me, Jason, and Adrian. I think Adrian has a mouthful of food each picture... Plus, he was supposed to go out again after this, and he definitely was totally plastered that night. He was drunk when he left Mengmeng's place!
I made banana bread as my contribution to the night's dinner. Jason LOVED it. He kept prodding Mengmeng and telling her "banana bread?" Haha.
Did I ever mention that Koreans like to DRINK?! Apparently EIGHT bottles of soju wasn't enough. Gina and Jason went out and bottle of Jack Daniels. And the two of them finished about a third of it. Thank god I don't like drinking. None of that for ME.
Because...
THIS is what happens to people who drink too much! Actually, Mengmeng was just tired. But Gina (can you see her?) just JUMPED on and attacked MM in her sleep. Hahaha. I love my law school friends. They're crazy.
