Pressed Life: 2006-05-21

LET me FIRST say that... It took me WAY too long to upload these pictures. And you guys should appreciate that I actually (finally!) put them up! (I usually take years before I do anything with my photos... ^_^;;;)

In any case, let me first explain. None of us are in high school anymore (although we might act-- or look-- it!)~ We are juniors and seniors in college (some of us have graduated since this night! AWW!!! CONGRATULATIONS, MY OLD FODDY-DODDIES!!! I LOVE YOU!), and we thought it would be fun to go out and dress up and go out to dinner. Like old times. It was supposed to be all six roommates, but... well, the details I shall spare you. Suffice to say, only 66% of our dorm managed to don pretty dresses to appear that night...

Originally the plan was to crash my brother's senior prom and go eat dinner with his little friends, etc. on May 26 (tomorrow), but because some of us (aka Caroline) were not going to be in the area, the dinner was moved up one week to the 19th. It was a hectic day, what with moving all of our stuff out of our apartment and back home (I still haven't finished getting my room at home in order yet... there are clothes and random junk EVERYWHERE... why o why am I a girl? Durn clothes and accessories.... Hahaha~) I had moved home on Thursday, but I came back on Friday to help clean and to drive Caroline home/to my house. It was a bit of a rush for time, and I guess it was fortunate that the earliest dinnertime reservation we could get was at 9:15 PM at Clyde's... (Everywhere else was booked, or else we had to eat before 4:30 or after 10:00... both of which were no-go's... but then again, what can I say? We booked it literally two days in advance... Not bad for a prom dinner, I guess)

Caroline, Kathy, and I went shopping the day before for dresses (they bought dresses, and I, being the FOOL that I am, FORGOT my wallet... so I was driving license-less people! Aah!!), and the dresses that you will see in subsequent pictures are the dresses they bought that day. Since it was appropriate for a prom dinner to have us wear prom dresses, Debby and I wore our old prom dresses. Gotta put our money to good use, eh? Three wears... I guess it's worth it... ^_^;; Well, I don't have pics from that Thursday, but here are the ones from Friday!!!!

Thanks to my 1337 direction giving skills over the phone, however, everyone made it!

DESSERT! OMG, IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD. Caroline and I shared the thing I'm holding, which is a blackberry clafouti. YUMMAY. SO SOFT AND SQUISHY AND SWEET AND GOODNESS GRACIOUS YUMMMYYY~ Caroline's holding Dennis' Bread Pudding. She ate quite a mouthful of it too, I think~
